I think shields should be customizable. Maybe not with any extra benefits, much like shields you create in pvp. I am suggesting this because PlayNC will not let me change my password without every single access key on my account and i have lost my prophecies one, and they will not let me change my email because i have forgotten my PlayNC account password. I keep getting hacked and the most frustrating thing is that i was just on a 2 week ban for "scamming" when i was not even in pve, i was gvging all day the day they said i was scamming. When i got my account back, all of my weapons and shields and armor was gone. all of my weapons were customized so i know they didn't get anything out of them, so i am guessing they just put all of them in the trash can.

Customizing shields would be nice, especially for the OP's story. Yes, PlayNC's security to get your account back is very convoluted, and having to find all my GW boxes again was a pain when I lost my password.

But also, I think customizing shields only makes sense. Especially if they gave a bonus like "Armor +10% when customized" I think it would be nice, especially for a caster using a high health set.

I believe shields should offer a benefit for being "customized" such as "+5 additional armour"

I also think focuses should be customizable and add "+5 energy"

would be nice anyway ^_^

But why the shield lead-in for a rant thread about getting hacked and getting banned for doing nothing?

Yes, the customized shields and offhands with a bonus would be sweet.

because if i keep getting hacked id rather the hacker not get anything out of it. if shields and offhands were customizable then everything on my account would be customized. and also it only makes sense to give the option to customized offhands and shields since weapons are customizable. i don't care much about an added bonus, just that they are customizable to the character to i can keep track of them and so they wont get stolen

Between the desire for customizable shields and the "keep getting hacked" story, I lost the meaning of the thread.

Why would we want to customize shields? To prevent hacking? I don't think that's worth it.

Try not to be so bad at keeping your password a secret or making one that isn't easily figured out.

Edit: The whole idea of a password is to have something that will allow only you to access your account. If you've failed at that measure, you've failed on your own account, and it's up to you to fix it.

So it makes no sense to add a further measure into the game, especially when that's all it addresses. If you were to say the customization of a shield or focus were to give an extra energy bonus or armor bonus, that would be something worth considering for a suggestion.
